A sweet antique Victorian brooch set with a colourful opaline glass dome in the centre complemented by a halo of sparkling old cut paste stones and a heart dropper.

Opaline Glass is a colourful form of hand-blown glass which has a striking resemblance to natural opals radiating blues, pinks, greens and an inner burning orange. 

The piece is fashioned in silver and gilded in yellow gold on the reverse. It’s a fabulous little brooch and in excellent condition.
